What does Plumb do?+
Plumb is a native iPhone camera for architectural photography. It captures an original photo, records shutter-time camera and motion data, and creates a separate perspective-corrected version on device.
What does Plumb correct?+
It corrects converging verticals and architectural perspective caused by tilting the phone. The goal is a natural architectural photograph, not an exaggerated or artificial transformation.
Does correction replace the original?+
No. The original camera resource is retained. Automatic correction runs after the shutter and writes a separate derivative.
Does Plumb upload my photos?+
No. Plumb is local-first. Captures are not uploaded by the app for processing. You decide what to export or save to Photos.
Which devices work with Plumb?+
Plumb supports iOS 18 and later. iPhone 13 or newer is recommended; older supported phones use the live camera capabilities available on that hardware.
What resolution and format does Plumb capture?+
The default is high-quality processed HEIF, with JPEG fallback when HEIF is unavailable, at a standard processed dimension near 12 MP supported by the active camera.
Can I compare the original and corrected image?+
Yes. The Library provides original and corrected views, alongside Grid and Masonry layouts, selection, export, delete, and location-name presentation.
Does Plumb record location?+
Only when Record Location is enabled and you grant location permission. Location can be retained with the photo and shown as useful context in the Library.
What happens if correction is unsupported?+
Plumb fails closed: it does not modify the original capture. The source image remains available.
Is Plumb available now?+
Plumb is currently in development for iPhone. Join the early access list on the home page for availability updates.
